KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 9
After an overwhelming success in Biratnagar and Birgunj, Nepathya, Nepal's famous folk-rock band left Hetauda audience spellbound with another captivating performance on Thursday.
Unlike other concerts, Nepathya kicked-off this concert with an unusual fashion, performing melodious song 'Aaganai Bhri heu nai jhari' band's pioneer song at the Bhutandevi Khelmaidan.
As the band played the song, Nepathya's 33 years journey was flashed in the big screen, paying tribute to former members.
With the sun setting on the horizon, Band's lead singer and social activist Amrit Gurung said that he wants audiences to relive the experiences of Lamjung with another smashing hit number 'Khanna Ma Ta Lampate Surati', to make the evening more joyous.
On the occasion, Amrit Gurung also urged the audience to be generous to donate for the good cause, he said referring to the tour that carries a social message of 'Music for Humanity' and aims to support Manavsewa Ashram, a social organization which provides shelter to the homeless.
As the concert went on, band entertained full house audience with their hit numbers including 'Chair Maryo', Jomsome Bazaarma' among others.
"I have visited Hetauda many times" Amrit said and also asked the audiences "have you been to Pokhara, Jomsom and Dhaulagiri". He also offered advice to the crowd to visit Nepal, then the band performed the song 'Shirfula Siraima banful banaima' which was arranged in an around Dhaulagiri region.
At the rear end of the concert, band also played 'Gaun Gaun bata utha,''Resham' and 'Rato ra Chandar Surya'.
As usual, Armit was supported by Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niroj Gurung on guitar and Shanti Rayamajhi on madals.
After the Hetauda concert, the band will travel with their entourage to Narayanghat to perform at Kyampachaur on December 11.
