KATHMANDU, JANUARY 24

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan responded to a Facebook post that shared information about his fans in Nepal 'booking' the entire hall for the first day-first show of his upcoming movie Pathaan at a cinema in the capital.

A Twitter user had shared the information of the Facebook page via a tweet and tagged SRK as: "@iamsrk #asksrk what to say?"

Responding to the tweet, the King of Romance as he is popularly known, tweeted: "Thank u all #Pathaan".

The Facebook page of Routine of Nepal Banda on January 22 had shared the information that fans of Khan had booked the hall for the first day-first show of Pathaan movie at Sundhara-based Cine-De-Chef (CDC). It also posted a photo of the fans (five) holding tickets in front of the poster of the Bollywood movie set for January 25 release.

Confirming the news, Bibek Rana of CDC told The Himalayan Times that Team SRK Nepal had purchased the tickets for the movie for the morning show of January 25.

Team SRK Nepal, which introduces themselves on theirFacebook page as: "Official Branch of the World's Biggest Fanclub Team Shah Rukh Khan. Connecting SRKians..." expressed their happiness over the actor's reply: "Wow!

The King himself, #ShahRukh- Khan, replied to a question which featured our photo during #AskSRK."

The administrator of their Facebook page Utsav Adhikari told THT that SRK's response came as a surprise to them.

"Inspired by Shah Rukh Khan, we have been doing social work on a regular basis and this reply of his has added energy to continue the good work," he replied, adding that he was eager to watch SRK on the big screen after a gap of four years.

Khan's last film Zero was released in 2018.

Adhikari also revealed that their group does not miss a single release featuring the star as they like him for who he is.

Bollywood movies make up for a big chunk in the Nepali showbiz market and Khan has a large fan following here. As such, his fans, who call themselves "SRKians" - are excitedat the release of Pathaan.

The SRK Team Nepal "will be watching #PathaanFirst- DayFirstShow with around 300 SRKians all over Nepal tomorrow (January 25)" as per their Facebook post.

The organised fans of the team will flock to theatres in Butwal, Biratnagar, Itahari, Jhapa, and the capital to watch SRK in his Pathaan avatar, said Adhikari.

He said 175 SRKians will be watching the movie at CDC on January 25 together. "The hall's capacity is 160, but the craze for the movie is such that 175 fans will be watching it together - most probably I will be one of the audience standing at the back and watching Pathaan."

While this group of fans is making noise in their own way, other non-organised fans too seem eager to watch the star.

Tickets for the morning and evening shows at CDC have been sold out, said Rana.

Meanwhile, Sophiya Rana, Executive, Customer Service Representative at QFX, said almost all shows are sold out in QFX theatres in the Capital for January 25. "Despite tomorrow not being a weekend, the halls are full, which shows the craze for Shah Rukh Khan in Nepal. Fans are buying tickets in advance."
