KATHMANDU: The Nepal Swimming Association on Tuesday picked up four swimmers for the 19th Asian Games to be held later this year in China.

Alexander Gadegaard Shah and Nasir Yahya Hussain were selected in men's section, while Gaurika Singh and Duana Lama were picked up in women's section.

According to NSA President Ashok Bajracharya, all four swimmers were selected based on their FINA points earned in the 11th NSA Cup that concluded on Monday. Bikash Kumal and Anushiya Tandukar have been named as substitute players.

According to the NSA, all four selected swimmers will participate in the World Aquatics Championship to be held in Japan next month as the qualifying tournament for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
